I have an appointment in about a week with a hematologist blood specialist- to check the blood test I had a few days ago at my family doctor's office. Barry did some research and the doctor's credentials are impressive. Barry and I are worried about what is wrong with my blood. My gut is giving me fits.
Fear of the unknown causes me to worry more than anything.
In Barry's research about anemia we found out there are more than 400 type of anemia. Iron deficiency anemia, the most common type, is very treatable with diet changes and iron supplements. Red blood cells can be lost through bleeding which can occur slowly over a long period of time and can often go undetected. Gastrointestinal conditions such as ulcers, hemorrhoids, inflammation of the stomach, and cancer can fit in the descriptions of anemia caused by blood loss. Anemia can also be caused by decreased or faulty red blood production or anemia caused by destruction of red blood cells.
My favorite hymn."In The Garden",and I often think of the words of this song when I have a problem. It goes, "I come to the garden alone..while the dew is still on the roses. And the voice I hear, falling on my ear, The Son of God discloses, And He walks with me, and He talks with me, And he tells me I am His own; And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever known."
Please remember me in your prayers.
See you next time.
